Typescripts from the included cassette sound tapes. These materials are inteviews conducted in 1999 by Albert Winkler of the Brigham Young University Special Collections and an unnamed son of Lassen. Lassen tells about his experiences in World War II in the Pacific Theater including the time he was severely wounded in battle.

Albert Winkler is the American and British History librarian at Brigham Young University and has been a senior librarian since 1979.
